Ozone Day Celebration
“Earth without OZONE is like a house without a roof.”
The United Nations International day for the preservation of ozone layer is celebrated on 16th September all over the world. The ozone layer or ozone shield is a region of Earth’s stratosphere that absorbs the sun’s ultraviolet radiation. Increased UV radiation due to ozone layer depletion has threatened the life on earth causing many diseases and other ecological problems.
Scholars of SNPS, made a small effort to make the people cognizant of this issue by making creative posters. Through a short video clip they also showed us how we can adopt certain activities in our daily lives to protect the ozone layer. We all should also take a pledge by making small efforts to protect the ozone layer depletion and make our mother earth a beautiful place to live in.
