Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti – 2020
“FAITH IS THE BIRD THAT FEELS THE LIGHT WHEN THE DAWN IS STILL DARK”
Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti is celebrated every year on 7th May as his birth anniversary. His legacy and contribution to the field of English Literature can be gauged from the respect his name demands at every utterance. The students of SNPS, Govindpuri recited the two beautiful works of this marvellous poet i.e “where the mind is without fear” and “Face To Face”. Through these two poems our students expressed their feeling about being fearless during this lockdown and follow their responsibility as a citizen of this great motherland and serve the society. Students made videos of themselves reciting beautiful poems of Rabindranath Tagore and shared with their teachers. Thereby as said by this great legend, it is important to restore faith to reach the light from darkness, teacher asked the students and the parents’ fraternity to stay home and stay safe during this pandemic.
