International Literacy Day 2019

International Literacy Day 2019

LITERACY IS A BRIDGE FROM MISERY TO HOPE

International Literacy Day, celebrated annually on 8th September, is an opportunity for Government, civil society and stakeholders to highlight improvements in world literacy rates, and reflect on the world remaining literacy challenged.

Sant Nirankari Public School, Govindpuri observed the same in the extended assembly. Students were made aware about the Need of Education in today’s globalized and digitalized world. Students as well as teachers took the following oath on this day.

“I PROMISE TO STUDY EACH DAY AND EACH NIGHT.
I KNOW IT’S THE KEY TO GROW UP RIGHT.
I’LL STUDY EVERYDAY AT HOME AND AT SCHOOL
SO I TAKE THIS OATH TO MAKE STUDY MY WAY
OF FEEDING MY BRAIN WHAT IT NEEDS EVERYDAY.”
